If you are interested in nuclear science, you will want to take a tour of the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL) on the campus of MSU. Tours of the NSCL, available for groups of 10-50 people, must be arranged in advance. Visitors may watch a 25-minute videotape that describes the NSCL’s two cyclotrons and their use in nuclear science research and may go into the cyclotron control room and the data room. For safety reasons, visitors entering the experimental areas must be older than 18 years or have written permission from a parent or guardian (forms are available at the NSCL).
