April 29, 2017: State Tournament
This year there will be 120 high school and middle school teams competing for scientific achievement and the right to pass on to the National Tournament at Wright State University. There are many Science Olympiad events, allowing for all students with varying interests and abilities to participate. These events are powerful tools that can be used to reinforce the teaching of the state objectives in existing units in the classroom. Each middle school and high school may enter a team, with a maximum of 15 students. The Executive Board has created opportunities for small schools and home schools to collaborate to form teams. Regional tournaments are in February and March.
