Students who will be in 9th - 12th grade in the Fall are invited to participate.
So what “rocks” about Greenrock? During four days on the MSU campus, high school participants will have the opportunity to meet people the same age from other schools around Michigan and get a taste of life on a Big Ten campus. There are opportunities to free write as well as to learn how to improve formal writing skills. Campers will also get a sense for the publishing process and even become a published author themselves because Greenrock has its own anthology!
Greenrock facilitators are experienced writing teachers who have received the internationally recognized credential, National Writing Project Teacher Consultant, through participation in the MSU’s Red Cedar Writing Project.
Whatever a participant’s writing interests and goals may be – whether it is creative writing or argumentative essays – Greenrock has something in store. For more information regarding Greenrock, please visit the Red Cedar Writing Project website: Youth Programs.
