July 10 - 13, 2017; July 17 - 20, 2017. 9:00 am - 3:30 pm.
This camp is available to students in grades 3-5.
This camp provides interested, adventurous young writers the opportunity to explore a variety of genres including: comics, smashed fiction, poetry, photo essay, maker studio, flash fiction, and more. As they explore new genres, they will mark a writing passport of their writing travels. Campers will visit various campus sites to help generate ideas to write in the various genres. This session will be led by a National Writing Project Teacher Consultant: Jill Hoort. This session is full day, so you should bring snacks and a lunch as well as appropriate footwear for walking around campus.
