This program is available to students in grades 7-9 who are gifted in language arts/French.

LEAF is a doubly accelerated French program for qualified students in grades 7-9. In two years, the program covers the four years of French content assigned by the Michigan High School Content Expectations (HSCE). Each semester of LEAF corresponds to a year of high school French. LEAF emphasizes developing and refining the four skills of language learning: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Various opportunities are provided, both in and out of class, to help students prepare to take the AP French exam. This is a hybrid course, meaning class is held both in person, on MSU’s campus, and online. Need-based scholarships are available.
