Featured Program
The Suzuki Program, or 'mother tongue' method, is a highly effective, time-tested approach to children's music instruction. Based on the way children learn their native language, it breaks down complicated things into small, manageable steps. Because children usually begin Suzuki instruction at a young age (4-6 years) parents actively participate in the instructional process. The program involves weekly private and group lessons, as well as monthly 'play-ins,' solo recitals, and workshops. It offers instruction in violin, cello, and piano. New students are accepted only at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. All new students age five and younger must first complete one semester in the Early Childhood Music program. In additon, the Community Music School offers many other lessons and classes for students of all ages. More about Community Music School Suzuki Program...
